Subject: Letter of Recommendation for Brian Anderson
To Whom It May Concern:
Brian Anderson joined our organization as a temporary consultant commencing for a six week period commencing early November 2003. During that time Brian took on the role of General Manager of Ducks Nuts Pty Ltd.
Ducks Nuts is Darwin's newest entertainment venue; comprising a high volume bar and restaurant, continental patisserie and unique cocktail bar. Ducks has set the benchmark for dining and entertainment in Darwin.
With Brian's guidance and expertise our business has unquestionably come a long way. His responsibilities included management of all aspects of the day to day running of the business at an operational level; both front and back of house.
Brian had a prominent role in evaluating the various departments of our business and then made commonsense recommendations to the board. Most noticeably, and in a short amount of time, he has been able to establish operational and reporting procedures to ensure the ongoing success of the venture. Other initiatives introduced by Brian have resulted in immediate benefits in terms of trading efficiencies and a healthier bottom line. These included streamlining wages and dramatically reducing stock levels.
In addition Brian was able to draw on his considerable experience in the hospitality industry to transform the morale of the staff. This achievement has also gone a long way to improve the viability of our business. Brian has confirmed himself to be a capable operator, a hard worker, and a talented manager.
